Having previously been operations director of a large national charity providing social care services, Peter has worked as an independent consultant since 2015. He has supported care providers in areas such as safeguarding, business continuity, care quality and governance. He also has extensive experience of project management, including acting as Programme Manager for the Care Provider Alliance’s Improving Care Sector Engagement programme, and as Programme Manager for the Better Security, Better Care programme, funded by NHSX.
Peter is Independent Chair of the Safeguarding Board at Midland Heart Housing Association, and previously held a similar role at the charity Friends of the Elderly. He also works as an Associate Consultant at the Institute of Public Care at Oxford Brookes University, and as a retained social care consultant at Anthony Collins Solicitors.
Having previously been Executive Director and then Chief Executive of two large national charities, Bridget was, from 2010 to 2019, Chief Executive of the United Kingdom Homecare Association (now the Homecare Association.) In this role she chaired the Care Provider Alliance, and the Programme Board for the Improving Care Sector Engagement programme. Since 2019 she has undertaken a number of part time roles including as Social Care Advisor to the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE). She is also a trustee of Dorothy House Hospice and has, since 2010, been the Independent Chair of the Quality Board and of the Safeguarding Board at the charity Sense.
